Talk to some people, and you might think that the solution to the disconnection people feel in a large church meeting is to go to a house church or some other smaller group setting. In fact, it might be better if we abandoned the big church mentality and focused solely on small groups. But let’s be clear about what house churches can and can’t do.
"When people engage deeply with the Bible, their lives and relationships are better". This is one of the findings of an ongoing study conducted by The American Bible Society.
It is interesting reading and reveals both sobering and hopeful trends.
Waking up tired is a common experience for many of us. It means we face the day already feeling drained and unmotivated. That morning caffeine hit at least clears your head a little, but you can’t help feeling that the day will be a hard slog. Worse, you’re not sure tomorrow will be any better; this seems like an endless loop.
